How Avihl care works

You shouldn't have to coordinate your own healthcare across five different people. One connected pathway does it with you.

  1. Care Manager

Listens to your concern and history, and plans the right first step with you.

  2. General / family medicine

A doctor assesses the whole picture before anything more specialised.

  3. Specialist & allied care

Specialists, therapy, nutrition or fitness, only when you need them.

  4. Post-consult debrief

We go over what was said, what it means, and what happens next.

  5. Monitoring & follow-up

We check in, track how things are going, and adjust the plan.

See how the pathway works

The Avihl care difference

One connected care journey

Every professional you see knows the story so far. No starting from zero.

The right professional at the right time

Not every concern needs a specialist first, and some need one sooner.

Evidence before intervention

Tests and treatments when the evidence supports them, not by default.

We explain the "why"

You leave understanding what's happening and what your options are.

Continuity beyond one consultation

Debriefs, follow-ups and monitoring are part of the care, not extras.

Woman-centred

Your context and preferences shape the plan. We inform decisions; you make them.

"We'll tell you when you don't need the consult, the class, or the test, not just when you do."

Care, community and research, together

Three things that usually live in separate places. At Avihl, they work as one.

Healthcare

Coordinated care with doctors, specialists and allied health professionals, connected through one pathway.

Community

A free, moderated space open to every woman, for conversation, lived experience and support alongside professional care.

Research

Translating clinical science and evidence into clear information you can actually act on.

Your care team

The clinical lead and the people who stay with you through your care.

Dr. Mano Subhashini

MBBS, MPH (TISS)

What evidence-led means here

Not a slogan. It shapes every decision we make with you.

  • Following current clinical evidence and guidelines
  • Combining that evidence with clinical judgement
  • Considering your preferences and your context
  • Being honest about what is uncertain
  • Avoiding unnecessary tests and interventions
  • Referring or escalating when something is outside our scope

Built by women in public health

Our founders trained in public health to close the gaps in women's healthcare. Then they needed care themselves, and fell into those same gaps. So they built Avihl around what was missing: prevention first, health literacy, appropriate care, accessibility, continuity and community.

Questions, answered

Is Avihl a clinic?

Avihl is a coordinated women's healthcare service, delivered online (for now). You see doctors and other professionals by video, and your Care Manager connects each part of your care so nothing falls through the gaps.

What is the First Conversation?

A free 15-minute call with your Care Manager, who is a registered doctor (MBBS) or registered nurse. We understand your concern, explain how Avihl works, and help you pick the right next step. It is not a medical consultation and no diagnosis is made.

What's the difference between an educator and a doctor consultation?

Certified childbirth educators and trained lactation consultants help with birth preparation, breastfeeding and newborn care, and with understanding your options. Educator consultations are usually recommended as follow-up support after our classes. They cannot diagnose, prescribe or order tests. Doctor consultations are medical care. If an educator thinks you need a doctor, we'll arrange it.

Can the doctor prescribe medicines or tests online?

Where clinically appropriate and permitted under India's telemedicine guidelines, yes. Some concerns need an in-person examination; if so, we'll tell you and help arrange it.

Do you handle emergencies?

No. Avihl does not provide emergency care. If you have severe pain, heavy bleeding, reduced baby movements in pregnancy, thoughts of harming yourself, or any other emergency, go to your nearest hospital or call 112.

Is the community free?

Yes, free and open to everyone. You don't need to book a consultation, join a programme or become a member.

Do I need a referral to start?

No. Start with a free First Conversation, or book a consultation directly if you already know what you need.

You don't have to navigate this alone

Tell us what's going on. We'll help you find the right care and stay with you after.

How Avihl works

One care pathway, every stage

Most women are left to coordinate their own care between specialists. At Avihl, that coordination is our job.

  1. Care Manager

Understands your concern and history, explains how Avihl works, and helps choose the first step.

  2. General / family medicine

A doctor looks at the whole picture. This is often the right place to begin, and the place that connects everything else.

  3. Specialist & allied care

Referral to specialists, therapy, nutrition or fitness when your care needs it, with your history shared so you don't repeat it.

  4. Post-consult debrief

A conversation after each consultation about what was said, what it means, and what you've decided.

  5. Monitoring & follow-up

Check-ins and reviews to see how the plan is working and change it if it isn't.

For complex or long-standing concerns, your care team may coordinate internally across professionals, so the plan you receive is a joined-up one.

Your Care Manager stays with you through the care journey

Not a helpdesk. Every Care Manager is a registered doctor (MBBS) or a registered nurse, part of your care team, and the reason the pieces stay connected.

  • Understands your initial concern and history
  • Explains how Avihl care works
  • Helps identify the appropriate next step
  • Coordinates appointments and referrals
  • Helps you understand what happens after each consultation
  • Supports follow-up and continuity of care

About Avihl

Why Avihl exists

A gynaecologist for your periods. A fertility clinic when you're trying. An obstetrician for pregnancy. Then, after the baby, often no one at all. Women are left to coordinate their own care, with every handover starting from zero.

What we believe

Women shouldn't have to coordinate their own healthcare. Avihl brings one connected care pathway across every stage of life, with doctors, specialists and allied professionals like therapists, nutritionists and fitness experts working from the same story.

  • Evidence-led
  • Explanation-first
  • Woman-centred
  • Coordinated
  • Preventive
  • Longitudinal: with you over years, not visits

Our care model

Healthcare, community and research, each one strengthening the others.

Healthcare

Coordinated care with doctors, specialists and allied health professionals.

Community

Free, moderated spaces for lived experience and support, open to everyone.

Research

Evidence translated into clear, usable information.

How the care pathway works

A public-health lens

Our founders trained in public health to close the gaps in women's healthcare, then fell into those same gaps when they needed care themselves. That lens means we design for the whole population of women we serve, not just the next appointment: prevention before treatment, health literacy, appropriate rather than excessive care, accessibility, continuity and community.

What we will not do

  • Sell through fear
  • Recommend tests you don't need
  • Make miracle claims
  • Pretend education replaces medical care

Clinical leadership
